About the Artist -
Norma Lee Martineau

My journey in art first began in 1979 as I studied oil and acrylic painting under artist Bette Rae of Flushing, Michigan. It was then that I began developing a love for texture, shape, and dimension.

I then started experimenting with different medium such as faux painting with acrylic, fabric, epoxy resin hardening agents, as well as yarns and dried floral elements to achieve the Tuscany effect to the work.

For the most part, I'm self-taught and through a series of trial-and-error have arrived at this present phase of works. My accomplishments include many art exhibits in Michigan where I reside.

I have received first and second place awards in my category and also "best of show" in some exhibits. I participate yearly in "Spring Fest". This is a recognition by Genesys Health Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan, and the Genesys Commuity Foundation For The Arts of the healing power of artistic expression.

There have been actual cases of healing in patients as they walk the halls and view the art.Thousands attend this exhibit, which remains on display through the entire month of May.Many of my clients are physicians and dentists and they have my paintings proudly displayed in their offices and clinics.
